As finish carpenters, we approach a sauna the way we approach any custom build, with careful framing, quality cedar, tight joinery, and a finish that feels considered rather than kit-like. The result is a room that looks and feels part of the home.
There is more to a sauna than benches and a heater. Insulation, a proper vapour barrier, ventilation, and heat-rated materials all have to be right for it to perform and last. We handle the build side end to end and coordinate the electrical for the heater, so you get a sauna that is comfortable, safe, and finished properly.

How we build it
Every sauna starts with a free on-site consultation. We look at the space, talk through the type of sauna and how you want to use it, and work out the size, the layout, and the heater. Then you get a clear written quote covering the build with no surprises.
We frame and insulate, install the vapour barrier and ventilation, line the space in quality cedar, and build the benches and backrests to fit. The heater and controls are set, the electrical is coordinated, and everything is finished clean. The result is a sauna that performs properly and looks like it belongs in the home.

Usually, yes. Basements are one of the most popular places for a home sauna because they have the space and the plumbing and electrical are often nearby. We assess the spot, the ceiling height, and the ventilation during the free consultation.
What is the difference between traditional and infrared?
A traditional sauna heats the air to a high temperature with a sauna heater, for that deep, enveloping heat. An infrared sauna uses panels to heat your body directly at a lower air temperature, which is gentler and easier to run. We help you choose based on how you like to use it.
Do you handle the electrical for the heater?
We coordinate the electrical as part of the project so the heater is wired and set up correctly. The carpentry, the cedar, the benches, and the finish are all us, and we make sure the trades line up so the build goes smoothly.
Can you build an outdoor sauna for our climate?
Yes. We build outdoor saunas and cedar banya finished in weather-suited wood and insulated to hold heat through GTA winters. We plan the build so it stands up to the seasons and stays comfortable year round.
