Doors are one of the most touched, most seen details in a house, and old ones show it. Swapping hollow, dated, or sticking doors for clean modern slabs changes the feel of a hallway or a whole floor immediately, and it upgrades the sound of the house too, since a solid door closes with a quiet, solid sound rather than a rattle.
A door is only as good as its install. A slab hung out of square binds, swings on its own, or leaves an uneven gap around the frame. We shim and set each door so it sits plumb and square, swings where you want it, latches cleanly, and shows a consistent reveal all the way around.

How the install works
It starts with a free measure of your openings, since older homes rarely have perfectly standard sizes. We confirm the door styles, swings, and hardware, and give you a clear written quote before anything is ordered or booked.
On install day we hang each door, shim and set it plumb and square, fit the hardware, and adjust the swing and latch so it works the way it should. Where casing is being replaced, we fit and finish it clean. Then we check every door one more time before we leave.

Yes. We are happy to hang doors you have purchased, or help you choose and supply them as part of the job. Either way we measure the openings first so the doors fit and hang correctly.
My openings are not standard sizes, is that a problem?
No. Older GTA homes often have openings that are slightly off standard. We measure each one and account for it, and where needed we adjust the frame or the door so everything sits square and closes clean.
Do you replace the casing too?
We can. If your casing is dated or damaged, we replace and finish it as part of the install so the door and the trim look like one clean detail. If the existing casing is fine, we work with it.
How long does it take to install doors?
A few doors are usually done in a day, and a full floor is scheduled to keep the home livable throughout. We give you a realistic timeline in writing before we start.
