Measured · tactile · assured

The room already has lines. We make them agree.

Good finish work connects the architecture you have with the atmosphere you want. The evidence is in proportion, alignment, and the way one detail resolves into the next. We install it to stay tight, with no splitting, separating, or warping.

Selected work

Four ways finish carpentry changes a room.

Finish carpentry is the difference between a room that feels builder-standard and one that feels finished. Here are four of the ways we add that detail at home, from full-height panelling to the quiet trim around a single door. Each one is measured to your space, installed tight, and made to last.

01 / Wall structure

Give blank walls a rhythm.

Panel moulding and wainscoting create a measured sequence across a room, bringing depth to open walls and continuity through long sightlines.

02 / Ceiling line

Resolve the room overhead.

Coffered and waffle geometry can organize a broad ceiling. Crown can close the gap between cabinetry, walls, and what sits above. Both depend on lines that meet cleanly.

03 / Doors, windows & trim

Make every threshold intentional.

Doors, windows, stairs, and tall entries are where finish quality becomes visible. This is our specialty. Consistent casing and aligned panel lines turn necessary transitions into part of the architecture.

Scope shown Doors · window casings · stair walls · trim details

04 / Feature work

Let one surface set the tone.

A focused wall treatment can shift the entire room, from calm vertical panelling to graphic relief. The right pattern responds to the space rather than competing with it.

Who we are

The family behind R2 WoodWork.

R2 WoodWork is a family-owned finish carpentry company serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. For over fifteen years, our carpenters and installers have fitted crown moulding, wainscoting, ceilings, and trim in homes across the region, and we still treat every project with the same care we would want in our own home.

We have worked on just about everything, from custom builds and condos to everyday renovations. Whatever the space, we take it from the first measurement to the final pass, and we leave your home cleaner than we found it. No splitting, no separating, no warping, just work that stays tight for years.

What we do

Our finishing services.

Every project starts with a free on-site estimate and a clear plan. Whatever the room, we build it to look considered and last for years.

Crown moulding detail along the ceiling and cabinetry

Crown Moulding

Crown moulding brings character and a custom-finished look to any room. We size and install it to suit your home, from clean modern profiles to rich traditional detail, finished tight in every corner.

White coffered ceiling grid with recessed lights

Coffered & Waffle Ceilings

A coffered or waffle ceiling draws the eye up and gives a room a striking, custom finish. We lay out the grid to fit your space and build it to look like it was always meant to be there.

White picture-frame wainscoting with a wood beam

Wainscoting

Wainscoting adds warmth and classic detail to walls, hallways, and stairways. Picture-frame, flat-panel, shaker, or board-and-batten, custom-built on site, never an off-the-shelf kit.

Grey room with white panel trim and baseboards

Trim & Baseboards

Baseboards, casings, and trim are the details that tie a whole home together. We install them clean and tight, so every line stays true for years to come.

White geometric feature wall

Accent & Feature Walls

A feature wall turns one surface into the focal point of the room, slatted, panelled, fluted, or geometric. We design it to fit the space rather than compete with it.

White frosted-glass interior door with clean casing

Interior Doors

New interior doors are one of the simplest ways to upgrade how a home looks and feels. We handle the full install, from measuring to hanging to the final adjustment.

Sauna Installation

Beyond trim, we design, build, and install custom home saunas across the GTA, traditional, infrared, and outdoor banya, finished in quality cedar and built to last.

Are estimates really free?

Yes. Every project starts with a free, no pressure visit to your home. We walk the space with you, take measurements, talk through profiles and materials, and follow up with a clear written quote. There is no charge and no obligation.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in the Greater Toronto Area and work across Toronto, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, and Pickering. We also travel out to Barrie, Innisfil, Hamilton, Cambridge, and Guelph. If you are just outside that range, ask and we will let you know.

How long will my project take?

Turnaround is quick. On average the work takes between 12 and 48 hours, depending on the size and complexity of the project. A single room of crown moulding or wainscoting is often done in a day or two, while a full home of trim, ceilings, and feature walls takes a little longer. We give you a realistic timeline in writing before we start, and we hold to it.

Are you insured?

Yes. We are WSIB covered on every job, and our work is backed by a workmanship warranty. You are protected from the first measurement to the final pass.

What does finish carpentry cost?

Every home is different, so pricing depends on the rooms, the materials, and the level of detail. Your written quote lays it all out clearly before any work begins, with no surprise costs along the way.

Do you install paint ready, or finish it too?

We focus on precise carpentry and installation, and we leave everything clean, tight, and ready for paint. If you want painting handled or coordinated, mention it during your estimate and we will plan it in.

Do you really build saunas as well?

We do. Alongside trim and carpentry, we design and install custom home saunas across the GTA, traditional and Finnish, infrared, indoor, and outdoor cedar banya, all finished in quality wood and built to last.

How do we get started?

Call or WhatsApp us at (647) 920-0585, or send a photo of your space through the quote form. We will set up a free visit and take it from there.
